Hi!
This is me, Jessyca. I'm a mum of two great boys, two little pieces of man who inspire me in life.
I'm the entrepreneur behind this great adventure that is Nine. I stopped teaching too much than part-time at the beginning of 2018 and jumped into my passion with both feet, after having a little kick in the butt: let me tell you about it.
November 2017, I receive an email inviting me to apply for the show In the Eye of the Dragon. Can you imagine that I was already dreaming of participating? Not at all! I had never even thought about it. But it created a little spark in me.
"If I applied, would I have what it takes to be selected?"
I hesitated for a long time before clicking on the "send" button. Less than a week later, the interview process was underway. I went through the few steps to get to the final auditions before filming, at Radio-Canada, Montreal. I had a killer sales pitch, everything went great, but I didn't make it to the finals.
I must have been disappointed for two and a quarter seconds when I received my answer. Because I had come such a long way between applying in December and being turned down: I had gone from being an artisan to an entrepreneur.
In that short time, I met the people at SDE de la Jacques-Cartier who helped me understand the basics of finance and perfect my sales pitch. I enrolled in the entrepreneurship course in Fierbourg, a professional training centre, to get support, a stronger foundation and tips for my business.
You'll understand that I SO gained from daring to do something I didn't know I was capable of yet. I didn't get past the Dragons, but I did get THE deal.
